Simple, Secure Installation
The SAX2PR installs using the factory front sling-stud location with no drilling required. Remove the factory sling stud, position the rail and pre-installed wedge block in the recessed sling-stud notch, and install the supplied replacement mounting screw. The rail includes an integrated front sling mount, maintaining sling attachment after installation.

Basic Installation Step Summary
Remove the factory front sling swivel and compression washer. Position the SAX2PR rail and pre-installed wedge block in the recessed sling-stud notch, with the rail's integrated sling mount facing forward. Install the supplied replacement mounting screw through the rail and wedge block and into the factory sling-stud hole.
Make sure the front set screw is not protruding below the rail, then moderately tighten the mounting screw. Turn the set screw into the stock until approximately 1.5 threads remain visible above the threaded hole. Using a rubber or soft mallet, gently tap the front of the rail to set the screw point into the stock. Continue tightening the set screw until it is flush with the top of the threaded hole. Finally, tighten the main mounting screw to approximately 25 in-lb. Do not overtighten the set screw.
